The author and Christian minister, Dr. Jessie Bowen, holds a Ph.D. in Christian Humanities. He has authored more than 28 books on martial arts, meditation, sports performance, and motivation.
He is the president of Elite Publications, a company that publishes books by Christian writers. Additionally, Jessie is a 10th-degree black belt in martial arts. As a martial arts competitor, he has won more than 2000 trophies, awards, and world titles to his name. Jessie started his martial arts school in 1980 and has owned and run it for more than 38 years. Jessie was a former professional bowler, competing on the PBA tour. He worked as an instructor for the Duke University physical education department for more than 28 years.
For his contributions to martial arts, Jessie has received induction into numerous halls of fames. One of his greatest accomplishments was when he received the Presidential Community Service Award signed by President Joe Biden.
